Hello,
I wanted to share some thoughts on how the guild events could be restructured to make them more engaging and fair for everyone. Based on the current event’s outcomes, it’s clear that the guild rankings are often dominated by the same players, regardless of guild name changes. This tends to reduce the competitiveness and excitement for the wider player base.
Here are some suggestions for a more balanced and exciting event:
Instead of having a purely farming or grinding-based event, I think the next event should be PvP-oriented, where skill, strategy, and teamwork are prioritized. A PvP Arena format could be really interesting, with certain time windows when the arena is open, allowing for a more structured and fair competition.
Arena Format (3v3 / 5v5): The event could be team-based, encouraging guilds to put together competitive teams. This would make it less about having the most active grinders and more about who can strategize and work best together.
Timed Availability: Having the arena or competition open at specific times (for example, 2-3 hours each day) would prevent the event from becoming a full-time grind, making it more accessible for players who can’t commit to 24/7 play.
To reduce the impact of alt characters and account-sharing abuses, I suggest implementing strict limitations on how characters can be used during the event:
One Character Per Player: Only one character per player can participate in the event. This would prevent players from using multiple characters to boost themselves or their guild rankings.
No Account Sharing: If it’s detected that multiple people are using the same character to artificially boost its performance, they should be disqualified. This would help ensure that the competition is fair and that the best teams are recognized, rather than those who can farm the most.
For the rewards, I believe it’s important to offer something that appeals to endgame players, who are usually focused on farming in areas like Infernum or Shine. If we can shift their focus to the PvP arena, the rewards should be meaningful and valuable for them.
I was thinking about Tools/GTs/some CC Items... or even something like a unique cloak or mount, for the top-performing guilds could be a great way to incentivize participation. For example, the winning guild could receive a cloak with a specific design that lasts for a month, making it something visible and rewarding.
To ensure the event runs fairly, I believe it’s crucial to have proper oversight:
Active GM Monitoring: Event participation should be closely monitored by GMs, with logs kept of all activity to detect any potential abuse or account-sharing.
Abuse Detection: Having specific tools or logs that track suspicious behavior could prevent manipulation of the event rankings.
I know that player behavior can sometimes be a challenge, especially when people focus on dominating and monopolizing the game. However, I feel that if we all set aside personal matters and work together to make the game better, we can create a much more enjoyable environment for everyone involved. The goal is to create something that feels fair, competitive, and exciting—not just for a select few, but for the whole community.
I hope these ideas help improve the event structure and make it more enjoyable for everyone. It’s always tough balancing competition and fairness, but I think the community will respond well if the focus is shifted towards skill, teamwork, and meaningful rewards.
