Burba_CZ, how is it "not the time to ask for a balance" at the beginning of a server reset?

Ideally, in any game, people should be able to play all classes and enjoy equal chances of competing. Of course, classes should shine in certain roles (tank, farmer, etc.). But right now, it feels like only critters are shining. I see 80% of classes leveling, farming, and pvp being critters.

Should we all just go ahead and play what's best at the moment? That defeats the purpose of having other classes.

In other mmorpgs. there are developers constantly involved in the game's balance. Why should it be different here?

If I remember CM and Webzen correctly, the balance was never this imbalanced towards any class. Right now, there exist hard settings like cast reduce limit at 90%, item options, and stats imbalance like crit everywhere but no CD, as well as crit resistance. I'm sure there are many more issues that casters face. Just look at high-lvl play and tell me how many casters you see.

So yeah, let's ask for a balance.

A good side effect of this would be to kick the botters. That way it is not on other players to detect them and have them thrown out of the game.

Since the admin needs more input about the balance of classes, I want to give my perspective about PvE as a caster (Sorc). I am happy with the strength of the skills. I deal enough damage and can tank with enough +skills.

A major issue, however, is pulling mobs into a train to make use of the Sorc's skillset. The AoEs are extremely clunky right now, making it impossible to pull mobs smoothly. I can only use Fire Wall to pull, but even that is super unreliable and mobs get left out all the time.
It used to be Hell Typhoon to pull single mobs from far away, while Soul Chaos and Acid Rain could pull 4-5 mobs bunched up closely. It took some geometry.
Now I am spending most of my time using Fire Wall and then other skills to pull single mobs that should get pulled by a small circle AoE. But it doesn't work. I am constantly walking back and forth trying to pull leftover mobs. It is just so frustrating.

I think we all can see the result of this lack of smoothness in playing the Sorc class by looking at the classes leveling in Asylum. Every room is taken by a crit class hitting away at single mobs. Even Archers and Rangers are critting single mobs (with insane damage). Doesn't that take away from the playstyles? I don't want to make a Crit-Sorc.

I don't care about getting one-shotted as a Sorc in PvP - that has always been an issue to play around. But not being able to do what Sorcs do best - farming - is demotivating. Please fix the AoE interactions with mobs.
